If you're like me, you're thoroughly enjoying catching up with great friends again, over a glass of great wine. There's not much quite like sharing a drink with someone and enjoying their company in person (oh how much we took for granted pre-lockdown).

Now we can finally have friends over to enjoy a meal and drink with, and to make the entertaining a little easier, I've gone and put together a six bottle mix of wines for you.  This case features a range of wines sure to tickle the taste buds of next weeks' guests, from classic favourites to something a little different but immensely delicious.

We only have 31 of these available so secure yours now to avoid disappointment.

The Dinner Party Six is:

Alana 'Estate' Pinot Noir, 2017

Baron Philippe De Rothschild, Bordeaux, Rosé, 2015

Alana Sauvignon Blanc, 2019

Italy Barbera D’Asti D.O.C.G. Icardi, 2016

Alana 'Estate' Riesling, 2016

Alana Lumiere Pinot Noir, 2019

Tasting Notes:

Alana 'Estate' Pinot Noir, 2017

Score (Sam Kim- Wine Orbit): 94/100, 5/5 Stars

Beautifully fruited and elegantly expressed, the bouquet shows dark plum, spiced cherry, olive and toasted nut characters with hints of game and dark mushroom. It’s equally attractive on the palate, delivering succulent fruit intensity together with flowing mouthfeel and silky tannins, making it complex and very appealing. At its best: now to 2023.

Baron Philippe De Rothschild, Bordeaux, Rosé, 2015

This wine is a strict selection of wine produced in the main Bordeaux appellation planted with Premium Grape variety, Merlot, Cabernet franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Berger Baron is a classic wine expressing all the aromatic intensity if it's appellation. Lively, Fruity and fresh it is an excellent accompaniment to spicy food and white meats. Alc 12.5%, Std drinks 7.4

Alana Sauvignon Blanc, 2019

Score (Sam Kim- Wine Orbit): 91/100, 4.5/5 Stars

Fresh and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows grapefruit, Granny Smith apple, rockmelon and lemon peel characters, followed by a succulent palate that's pristine and lively. It's bright and flavoursome with excellent fruit intensity, finishing long and delectable. At its best: now to 2022.

Italy Barbera D’Asti D.O.C.G. Icardi, 2016

Typical flavours are red fruits from the darker end of the spectrum. Around 5-8 years Barbera’s fruit dims, becoming more savoury, slightly feral and forest-floor like. Let the wine breath and open up...just delightful.

A red wine made from Barbera grown in this grape variety’s native zone, the Monferrato hills of central Piedmont. The wine became a DOC in 1970, and was promoted to DOCG in 2008. Barbera d’Asti is made from 100% Barbera. A typical Piedmontese wine of top winemaker Claudio Icardi.

Alana Estate Riesling, 2016

Score (Sam Kim- Wine Orbit): 94/100, 5/5 Stars

Bright, even straw-yellow colour with hints of light gold. The nose is firm and intense with well-packed aromas of lime and lemonade fruit, white and yellow florals, complexed by a thread of toasty secondary development. This has depth and finesse. Off-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has good depth and intensity of ripe lime and lemonade fruit flavours, along with floral and toasty detail.

Alana Lumiere Pinot Noir, 2019

Score (Sam Kim- Wine Orbit): 93/100, 5/5 Stars

Attractively fruited and fragrant, the bouquet shows sweet plum, cherry, olive and roasted nut characters, followed by a juicy palate that's smooth and lingering. It's finely textured and elegantly framed by supple tannins, making it delightfully complex and immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2025.
